Sedona Gemstone is owned and operated by Eric Standley, life-long resident of Sedona.

My family has been in the gem and mineral business for over 35 years. My father Bud Standley is very well known in the gem and mineral trade as being an expert gem cutter and lapidarist. As a child I was surrounded by his remarkably beautiful specimens in our home, and couldn’t help but appreciate these treasures that grew naturally in the earth. In time he taught me to cut cabochons, primarily in azurite with malachite as well as in turquoise.

His skill is so highly respected that he is commonly asked to cut exceptionally high quality rough, material that could never be trusted in the hands of a novice. An example of one such gem is the very rare iridescent rainbow garnet, a gem that has only been found at three locations in the world! Having seen the specimens available in the crystal shops of Sedona, I was inspired to offer my clients some truly spectacular gems and minerals rather than the commonplace stones found everywhere. It is my pleasure to bring you some of the highest quality gems on earth! Soon I will also include some very fine mineral specimens as well.
